So...I'm going to Otakon. And I'm looking to have a Steampunk sort of outfit. I'm in a dilemma. I need a skirt, and a pair of shoes.

First problem: I have ZERO sewing skills. I can do minor repairs on..oh, leather gloves. But I can't handsew a straight line for shit, and the sewing machine here absolutely hates my bloody guts.

Second problem: Skirts online that I have found that would be ABSOLUTELY perfect...are either too expensive, or wouldn't be shipped in time. The same goes for shoes. And I am not going to make shoes. If I can't sew a damn piece of fabric, I sure as HELL can't make a pair of shoes.

Does anybody have any advice?

Except Buckcherry. I hate them. They suck as far as I'm concerned.

Trapt was okay...not too much of a show, but they were good.

And Motley Crue...well, not much to say..because they rocked. I've never seen a truly epic pyrotechnics show, and hell if they didn't have one. It was AWESOME.

I got some new materials today (meaning I bought some RoseArt Colored pencils, pencil sharpener, yarn, leather, and a pretty little box...I miss my pretty Prismacolors, but I haven't got them with me -weeps-), and so I'll be able to color things now. HOORAY!

ALSO. I went to see the Hulk movie. It was epic. On the same level of Iron Man. Not more, not less. Equal. Even though Iron Man remains to be my favorite superhero...it was EPIC. Everyone should go see it.

Gah. Time to go play with yarn.
